Shireoaks Bridge, Easter 2003

Boundary Lock 41a, Easter 2003. This shallow lock is new, and was needed because subsidence at Shireoaks Top Lock meant that without it there would have been insufficient depth over Shireoaks Aqueduct.

Boundary Lock 41a, Easter 2003. Final touches being made before this section is opened to boats. Shireoaks Aqueduct is just above the new lock.
