I regret the poor state of some of these images. The original slides were on Dixon film where the colour has faded badly, and in some cases they were very dark indeed.
The water level at the South portal is significantly higher than at the North, and despite being only 330 yards long no daylight is visible looking into the North portal. It is clearly blocked.
