The Canal near Uffington

Just west of Uffington was a single-arch aqueduct at Pimley Manor. The arch was removed and a footbridge built to link the former abutments before 1970. The site of the aqueduct is immediately east of where the new A49 Shrewsbury by-pass crosses the line of the canal, and I am not sure what now remains.

There was a wharf at Uffington just west of the site of Uffington Bridge.

The new A5 crosses the canal immediately adjacent to the railway bridge near Berwick Tunnel, on its south side.

There used to be the remains of a maintenance flat amongst the reeds just the other side of the bridge.
